FAQ

Where are you located?

311 22nd Avenue North Nashville, TN 37203

Where can I park?
There is free parking behind the building. The lots behind the next three buildings are available as well.
How long are the sessions?
Typically, the first session is 60-90 minutes. After that, sessions are 45 minutes or however long you request as long as it’s appropriate for the work we do together.
Do you take insurance?

No, I do not take insurance but can provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement.

I don’t take insurance due to the requirement of assigning a diagnosis for the client. Not everyone needs a diagnosis. Also, the amount of documentation that insurance companies require to submit per session takes away from the time I can be helping someone in need.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must cancel your appointment no later than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, or you will be charged the full amount of the session.

Do you work with adults?
Yes, I work with young adults and adult men and women.
How much information can you share with me as a parent?
It’s essential to respect the client’s privacy to gain trust and build a relationship. As a parent, you will receive updates as needed or if there are concerns. But you are always welcome to email me questions.
What is your professional experience?

I have 15 years of experience working in the field. Most of that time, I worked with adolescents and their families.

I have worked with individuals who struggled with behavioral, mental health, substance use or abuse, low self-esteem, parenting, sports performance, and identity issues.

What does a client need to know to make the most out of working with you?
Just show up at the scheduled time and participate at whatever level you can at that moment.
Do your clients receive assignments to work on between sessions?
It does not happen all the time. When appropriate and if homework would benefit a client’s progress, I will give assignments.
Have you ever had therapy?
I think it is important for everyone to sit and talk to a professional at some point in their lives. Plus, I am a believer in doing what I am asking others to do. Therapy helps me be the best version of myself for you.
