About

Welcome!

When working with me, you will receive authentic interactions. Getting to know you is a significant part of the process.

You are the focus. During your time with me, my space is yours. You will feel my presence and energy, allowing you to feel calm and safe.

As a client, you will explore your life’s experiences while feeling comfortable and receiving my support and guidance.

Therapy challenges you to push yourself out of your comfort zone so you can step into a space of growth and healing.

Sessions focus on benefitting your needs.

Sessions start with a check-in and getting me up to speed on how life has been since our last session. The session is then open for you to bring any pressing issues or concerns that you want to spend some time working through or on which you want some guidance.

If nothing is pressing or there are no areas of concern, we go right into doing work on your primary goal(s) to seek therapy.

Lastly, all sessions provide a takeaway you receive from the session that day. There may be some sessions where I will assign you homework only for your benefit.

Therapy helps anyone who wants to be the best they can be.

The stigma is real! I commend you for taking steps to better yourself and be more emotionally available.

You are not alone, and therapy benefits every person at some point in their life. It appears your time is now.

Never feel ashamed, weak, or less than for wanting the best version of yourself.

The world is cruel in personal interactions and on social media platforms. You have space where you can be you and not have to put on different masks for “likes” or at a friend’s request.

I welcome you to come as you are.

About Me

Ok, finally, I can talk about myself. LOL!

I love what I do; I tell people that I did not choose this career. It chose me.

As a former collegiate athlete playing basketball and running track, I still love doing both activities, although I am slower.

In 2004, I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work, and in 2016, I obtained my graduate degree in Counseling. I am a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor.

Music and the use of metaphors are my loves. If I were not doing counseling, I would probably be in the field of fashion.

I can go on, but I remind myself it’s not about me, and you can always get to know me more as we spend time together.
